In the picture, Chris Davis, task force leader trainee, takes a look as the Cascade flares on a ridge a mile or so from his position on Wednesday.Although it was a bit tense Wednesday, July 30, it appears that they are getting the fire is under control.
As of Monday morning, the fire was 44 percent contained and had consumed over 10,000 acres at a cost of $5.8 million.
This is not the best picture I have taken, but I must admit it was exciting sitting on the ridge watching the fire flare-up.
